Mike Crawford


The son of Pioneer Waterproofing founder Tom Crawford, Mike grew up in the business and in the past 30 years has gained experience in all levels of the company.

As President, he oversees operations, estimating and human resources. Pioneer is proud of its employee retention record which includes over 50% of employees still with the company after 10 years. Overseeing the crews, production and equipment to provide over 30 different services is shared by the entire management team.

Korey Shimojima


With an educational background in architecture, Korey joined Pioneer in 1995. Today he brings his expertise in all types of waterproofing and sealant systems to Portland’s largest commercial and mixed-use structures. Given the Northwest’s wet climate, waterproofing is a critical and challenging factor in new construction, and Korey’s knowledge is highly respected by area contractors and designers. Korey also serves as a Vice-President and Lead Estimator for Pioneer.

Areas of Focus: Below and above grade waterproofing, deck coatings, joint sealants for commercial, industrial and mixed-use projects.

Doug Flewelling

Manager, Spokane Regional Office

Doug manages the new Spokane/Inland Northwest Regional office. Raised in the Spokane area, he established his career in sales before joining the building repair industry a few years ago. As Project Manager, Doug’s responsibilities will include estimating, field supervision and training, quality control and scheduling. As part of Pioneer’s business development team he will also continue to develop relationships with contractors, architects and building owners in the Spokane/Inland Northwest Region.

Areas of Focus: Masonry restoration, masonry and concrete repair, deck coatings, joint sealants, and below and above grade waterproofing, and general building maintenance.

Rock Eggers

Project Manager

Rock is a second generation waterproofing technician and has spent over 30 years in the field of building repair and maintenance. He brought his extensive experience to the Pioneer team in 2010 and quickly took on managing several challenging projects. He is currently managing a 9-story masonry restoration project for Home Forward in NW Portland. With over three decades of ‘hands on’ experience, Rock truly enjoys the process of finding the best solutions to a structure’s most challenging repair issues.

Areas of Focus: Masonry and concrete repair, joint sealants, flooring systems, deck coatings and epoxy injection.

Josh Jensen

Project Manager

An employee since l994, Josh was promoted to the role of Project Manager after serving as Job Foreman for many years. His responsibilities include estimating assigned projects, coordinating work crews, managing job safety and overseeing client communication. Often working jobs under the direction of a general contractor, it’s critical to coordinate his work scope with all the other sub-contractors on a job site.

Areas of Focus: Historical Preservations, epoxy floors, deck coating, building maintenance, below grade waterproofing, caulking, tuck pointing, clean and seals, and general waterproofing.

Steve Parmentier

Project Manager
Spokane Regional Office

Steve was born and raised in the Spokane Valley and established his professional career in construction product and supply sales. As Project Manager, Parmentier’s responsibilities will include estimating, field supervision, quality control and scheduling. Also a part of Spokane’s business development team, he will continue to develop relationships with area contractors, architects and building owners.

Areas of Focus: His areas of building repair and maintenance knowledge include above and below grade waterproofing, epoxy and urethane injections, carbon fiber reinforcement, concrete and masonry cleaning, water repellents, expansion joint systems, elastomeric coatings and concrete repair.
